Punch-Out Technician

Salary: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Punch-Out Technician to complete final-stage construction tasks and service work on residential homes in the Cape Charles area. This role is responsible for ensuring homes are fully finished, clean, and meet quality standards prior to homeowner turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete punch-out lists on new construction homes prior to closing. Perform minor repairs including drywall, paint touch-ups, trim, caulking, and hardware adjustments. Install and adjust doors, cabinets, fixtures, and basic carpentry items. Address warranty and service requests in occupied homes as needed. Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to prioritize work. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites. Identify and report larger issues that require subcontractor involvement. Ensure all work meets company quality standards and homeowner expectations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in residential construction or handyman work. Strong knowledge of general carpentry, drywall, and finishing trades. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with homeowners. Basic tools required (company may provide specialty tools). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
General Laborer

Virginia Builders is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support day-to-day operations on residential job sites in the Cape Charles area. This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits for candidates who take pride in their work and bring a strong work ethic to every site.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining cleanliness of job sites. Erosion and sediment control. Construction entrance maintenance. Delivery and return of materials. Operating various power tools. Daily communication with lead supervisor. Must have general construction knowledge of materials used in residential building. Valid driver’s license with clean driving history required — must be able to operate a larger truck for materials and trash hauling.
